Who we are
Hosting Factory is a South African based web hosting company.
We specialise in providing high quality, affordable web hosting to
individual clients, web
designers and web hosting resellers. We have clients all over South Africa, and also a growing
international client base. Our excellent prices and 7 days a week
e-mail support makes us the preferred choice for many web developers.
Support:
We offer free 24/7 e-mail support, unlike some of our
competitors, who actually charge for this! You can simply submit the Contact Us form on our web site,
and be sure of a reply within 24 hours.
Hosting details
New reseller accounts are created within 24 hours. You will be provided with
the DNS server names to be able to set up your domain, as well as the
username and password for your master control panel, and the
address to use with FTP to upload your own web site files to our servers. You will
simply love our WHM control panel. It allows you to have
total control over your account with the click of a button. You do
not have to know anything about setting up web servers! Every domain
that you add will have its own control panel - which is totally
generic. You can give the address of the domain control panel to
every client of yours - and he can manage his own e-mail settings,
autoresponders, FTP settings, view site statistics without you being
involved at all, and without the client ever knowing that we even exist!
Network:
Our network has been engineered from the ground up to accommodate the
high-availability demands of the Internet’s most popular web sites.
Please take a moment to view our unmatched network specifications and
network features below:
Connectivity
We utilize connections to multiple backbones to ensure that data
reaches the end-user in the fastest, most efficient manner possible.
We also have peering agreements with local ISPs to allow fast
delivery of packets when possible.
BGP4 Routing
We run the Border Gate Protocol (BGP4) for best case routing. Our
entirely switched, Cisco powered network employs Cisco routers
running HSRP (N+1 hot failover) to ensure that data can be routed
even in the event of a router failure. The BGP4 protocol is a
standard that allows for the routing of packets of information sent
out from our network. Each packet of information is evaluated and
sent over the best route possible. Because of our redundant network
architecture, packets may be sent via alternative routes even if they
are being delivered to the same end user. Should one of our providers
fail, packets leaving our network are automatically redirected
through another route via a different provider.
Guaranteed Packet Delivery
We pays our provider to make sure that packets of information are
delivered to the end user's eyeballs. This offers significant
advantages over simply peering with the major backbones. Peering
agreements rarely include Service Level Agreements (SLAs) so no one
is accountable for lost packets at congested exchange points. Because
we actually have SLAs with all our providers, we are able to
guarantee that all packets will leave our network at full speed.
Bandwidth Utiliziation
Our network has plenty of excess capacity, even during peak hours.
This allows for us to accomodate even the largest spikes in traffic
that are often associated with the most popular websites. We are
always adding network connectivity and new routes in an effort to
make sure content is delivered to your users as efficiently as possible
